Andrew Paulson, baritone

Recognized for his “strong voice” and “convincingly authoritative character”, Andrew Paulson is quickly emerging on the American Opera scene. Recent career highlights include Paul Jobs in the world premiere workshop of The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs with Santa Fe Opera, Jim Crowley in An American Dream with Opera Maine, Roger Chillingworth in the world premiere workshop The Scarlet Letter with Opera Colorado and Clayton McAllister in Cold Sassy Tree with Sugar Creek Opera. Mr. Paulson has performed with recognized companies such as Santa Fe Opera, Virginia Opera, Sarasota Opera, Opera Colorado, and Central City Opera. Role highlights include Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Marcello (La Bohéme), Giorgio Germont (La traviata), Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor), Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), and Mercutio (Roméo et Juliette).  Mr. Paulson has been recognized as a 2016 Pittsburgh district winner in the National Council Auditions, and a winner in the Mobile Opera Competition, and Denver Lyric Competition.
